Frequently Asked Questions
Do you have a waitlist?
There is no current waitlist. Our block schedule structure allows for us to maximize the amount of time slots available daily. Pre-registration is encouraged for upcoming adult services, parent trainings as well as specialty programs as there may be limited spots available.
Do you offer free consultations?
We offer and encourage a free, one-hour initial consultation to discuss your options for service. This can include a private pay option, or using OAP funding. We then will schedule a formal assessment and observation. It is important you are informed on all pieces when searching for services. Which is why we are here to help and ready to answer any and all questions you may have!
What is your procedure for new families?
We ask that you come visit our centre for a tour and a free consultation. We can discuss what goals you and your family have, and how we can meet those needs. In some cases, we might refer to another professional (like Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy, or Psychotherapy). We will then book an initial 1:1 assessment of your child's skills. This may take from 1 hour up to 8 hours to complete, and will be broken into smaller sessions. Once the assessment is complete, you will be provided with a written report detailing these skills. We will then collaborate with you to derive a list of appropriate, functional goals to be targeted within each session. You will receive ongoing updates of your child's progress and we welcome the opportunity to assist parents with implementing strategies for behaviour management and teaching at home. Upon discharge from our centre, we will provide a report detailing the skills learned and recommendations for further learning.
How do I pay for services?
We will customize payment arrangements that work for your family. If you prefer to pay weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly, we will accommodate your preference. Billing will occur prior to the service week and we accept cheque, e-transfer, and credit.
